New Esprit Addressable Firmware and PC Config. Software

We have released a new version of our Esprit Addressable firmware and PC Config Software. In this software version we have added some major enhancements to networking capability and offer all of the functionality set out in the below release notes.

From this point onwards, all panels despatched will support the new programming functions which include;

  • Network control to set other panels responses (or not) for the following conditions; Evacuate, Alarm, Delay, Fault, Disablement, Silence, Resound, Mute and Reset
  • Defining how loop outputs respond to Alarm, Delay or Evacuate commands originating from other panels
  • Defining how panel outputs (relays and sounder circuits) respond to Alarm, Delay or Evacuate commands originating from other panels

Software Release notes for Esprit Addressable Panels 1.5 December 2023

  1. Network options expanded to allow greater flexibility on specifying which types of event and status transfers are allowed.
  2. Control which event types and status are sent from each panel to any other panel of the network. (Evacuate, Alarm, Delay, Fault, Disablement, Test).
  3. Control which event types and status are received by a specific panel from each of the other panels of the network. (Evacuate, Alarm, Delay, Fault, Disablement, Test).
  4. Control which types of key press are sent from each panel to any other panel of the network. (Resound, Silence, Mute, Reset).
  5. Control which types of key press are received by a specific panel from each of the other panels of the network. (Resound, Silence, Mute, Reset).
  6. Control whether alarms and faults from another panel make the local buzzer sound.
  7. Allow different loop output responses depending on which panel an alarm, delay, or evacuate originated.
  8. Allow different panel output responses (Fire relay, Fault relay, Sounder circuit 1, Sounder circuit 2) depending on which panel an alarm, delay, or evacuate originated.
  9. All the above features are configured using the PC Configuration Software.
  10. Improvements have been made to the performance of the network.

PLEASE NOTE: For Panels / Network cards purchased before the 4th of December 2023, the display cards of an existing panel network should be upgraded along with the network cards to ones manufactured after this date to ensure compatible firmware.
